Agents of Change Award Nominations Open April 1st.



The Agent of Change award honors outstanding individuals who have made a significant impact in their community, demonstrating a commitment to creating positive change in the lives of people, the environment, or the world at large. These individuals have shown dedication to their work, implementing innovative solutions and driving meaningful progress in their respective fields.


Examples of ongoing or recently completed projects that exemplify the spirit of this award include:

* Developing sustainable agriculture initiatives to combat food insecurity and promote environmental stewardship

* Implementing education programs to empower marginalized communities and foster social justice

* Spearheading community-based clean energy projects to reduce carbon footprint and promote renewable energy

* Advocating for mental health support and reducing stigma around mental illness

* Creating inclusive and accessible spaces for people with disabilities


The Agent of Change award recognizes individuals who embody the power of compassion, determination, and creativity in driving transformative change. Their work serves as an inspiration to others, demonstrating that individual actions can collectively lead to a better future for all."


Requirements:

  • Projects highlighted by applicants should be ongoing, or have been completed after Jan 1, 2023

  • This award will go to a specific person (not an organization), although the work may have been done through an organization or with the help of a team.

  • Nominees should be Bay Area Residents

  • Letter of Recommendation

  • Must be available to receive award the evening of Friday June 14th

  • You May Nominate Yourself

  • You May Nominate Someone Else

  • Our suggestion is to send this form to someone so they may nominate themselves.

Award:

3 Awards Will Be Granted

Applications will be reviewed between May 1st and May 13th, then announced on May 14th
