Ortega Poetry Club Fall 2026

Service Description

Wednesdays 1:40pm - 3pm September 16th - December 6th Ortega Students meet weekly after school to join the performance arts community. Students write poems, perform on stage, and build teamwork. A workshop typically contains games, discussion, a writing lesson followed by sharing. Students will have an end of the semester slam poetry competition alongside other participating Pacifica elementary and middle schools with smaller performance opportunities in between. Students will also have a chance to publish their work in SPARC’s annual poetry anthology.
